About
Putut Widjanarko is the Vice President of Mizan Publika (the holding company of Mizan Group), one of the most prominent publishing groups in Indonesia. He has been with Mizan Group since 1993, and currently is also responsible for Mizan’s digital initiatives and business development. Putut earned his undergraduate degree from Bandung Institute of Technology, and his Masters and Ph.D. in media studies from School of Media Arts and Studies, Ohio University USA.
In 2009, he co-founded Paramadina Graduate School of Communications, Paramadina University, Jakarta, and served its first Director for four years. He is still a lecturer at this school until now. He has presented papers in some international and local conferences, and has published Elegi Gutenberg: Memposisikan Buku di Era Cyberspace (2000) and co-edited Reinventing Indonesia: Menemukan Kembali Masa Depan Bangsa (2008).
